This is a beautiful bowl that I turned in my shop from madrone wood.  Madrone is a hardwood that is found only on the Pacific Northwest.  This bowl is 7-1/2"  diameter and 2-1/2" deep and is great for snacks, dips, fruit, small salads, holding your keys,  or anything else you can think of!  It has been sanded to 600 grit to be super smooth and then finished with a food grade oil and wax.  To make sure your bowl will remain both useful and beautiful, I use a unique waxes from a small company in the UK called Hampshire Sheen or from Acks Wood Paste, a mom and pop shop in Pennsylvania.  They both use high quantities of carnauba wax to be an extremely hard wearing and food safe finish.
