This is a beautiful bowl that I turned in my shop from black walnut.    This bowl is 11" in diameter x 3" deep and is great for fruit, salads, or anything else you can think of!  It has been sanded to 600 grit to be super smooth and then finished with a food grade oil and wax.  To make sure your bowl will remain both useful and beautiful, I use a unique wax from Acks Wood Paste, a mom and pop shop in Pennsylvania.  They use high quantities of carnauba wax to be an extremely hard wearing and food safe finish.
