Hand turned bird house/decoration/yard art.  This bird house is designed to brighten up your garden while providing a home for your feathered friends.  I make these on my wood lathe from a variety of wood, such as cherry, oak, walnut, butternut, and poplar.  The birdhouse is colored with Unicorn Spit brand (don't you just love the name!) dye stain rather than paint so the colors don't fade.  It is finished with 4 coats of spar polyurethane for excellent outdoor protection.  The top can be removed for clean-out by simply removing two screws.  It is attached by sliding the slotted hangar onto a screw (not provided) that you insert into your mounting location.  This makes it easy to remove at the end of the season for winter storage for you (us) Northerner's.
 
The birdhouse is approximately 19" tall by 5" diameter.
